BREAKING: Klay Thompson Made NBA History In Warriors-Jazz Game

Klay Thompson made NBA history during Thursday's game.

UPDATE: Klay Thompson finished with 35 points, six rebounds and two assists.

The Warriors won by a score of 140-137.

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors are playing their final game before the All-Star break against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

Klay Thompson was surprisingly not in the starting lineup and came off the bench for the first time since 2012.

However, the four-time NBA Champion had an excellent first half and put up 17 points, three rebounds and two assists while shooting 7/11 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in only 12 minutes of playing time.

He also made NBA history by becoming the 153rd player to reach 15,000 career points.

Via The Golden State Warriors: "Congrats to Klay on becoming the sixth Warrior in franchise history to reach 15,000 career points đź‘Ź "

Thompson hasn't played at his typical All-Star level this season but is still averaging a respectable 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.5% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range in 49 games.

The five-time NBA All-Star was the 11th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Washington State and has spent his entire career with Golden State.

Over 11 seasons, he has career averages of 19.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.3% from the field and 41.3% from the three-point range in 765 regular season games.

He's also appeared in an astonishing 158 playoff games and helped the Warriors win four NBA Championships (and reach the Finals six times).

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 26-26 record in 52 games.
