UPDATE: The Memphis Grizzlies have officially announced the signings.

The Memphis Grizzlies most recently lost to the Houston Rockets by a score of 111-91 on Wednesday evening in Texas.

They have dealt with a lot of injuries this season, and on Thursday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that they "plan to sign" two new players.

Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: The Memphis Grizzlies plan to sign guards Shaq Harrison and Jaylen Nowell with two newly awarded hardship 10-day contracts. The NBA approved the hardship roster spots after Memphis had five injured players ruled out over the next two-plus weeks."

Nowell is coming off a year where he appeared in 65 regular season games for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The former Washington star averaged 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field.

He also appeared in five NBA playoff games, as the Timberwolves lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round.

Meanwhile, Harrison played in five regular-season games for the Portland Trail Blazers last season and averaged 8.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while shooting 41.7% from the field and 30.0% from the three-point range.

He also played in eight NBA playoff games with the Lakers, who made the Western Conference Finals.

As for the Grizzlies, they are 3-11 in their first 14 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Western Conference.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and will play their next game on Friday when they host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
