Victor Oladipo was once among the top shooting guards in the league when he played for the Indiana Pacers.

During that span, the former Indiana Hoosier made the NBA All-Star Game twice and looked like a rising superstar.

Unfortunately, he has dealt with injuries that have derailed his prime and is coming off an injury that abruptly ended his 2022-23 season with the Miami Heat.

On Friday night, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reports that the Heat have traded the former second-overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In addition, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported more details about the trade.

Via Wojnarowski: "Oklahoma City is acquiring Victor Oladipo and draft compensation to absorb his $9.45 million expiring contract, sources tell ESPN. Miami creates a trade exception of $9.45M with the deal."

Before getting injured, Oladipo had averages this past season of 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 39.7% from the field and 33.0% from the three-point range in 42 regular season games.

In addition to the Heat and Pacers, Oladipo has also played for the Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets and Thunder.

His career averages are 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.6% from the field and 34.7% from the three-point range.

The Heat are coming off a year where they made the NBA Finals for the second time in four seasons, while the Thunder have been in rebuilding mode and have yet to make the postseason since 2020.
