BREAKING: Miami Heat Will Reportedly Make Significant Change To Starting Lineup

According to Jared Greenberg of NBA TV, the Miami Heat will likely make a change to their starting lineup for Game 2.

On Sunday evening, the Miami Heat will be back at Ball Arena in Colorado to face off against the Denver Nuggets for Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

They lost Game 1 (also in Denver) on Thursday evening by a score of 104-93.

Overall, the Heat struggled the entire night, trailing by 17 points at halftime.

For Game 2, they will reportedly make a significant change to the starting lineup (according to Jared Greenberg of NBA TV).

Via Greenberg: "I have learned within the last hour that Miami is expected to make a lineup change going back to the lineup they rode throughout most of the NBA Playoffs, going big with Kevin Love back in at the starting power forward position."

According to Greenberg, Love will start in place of Caleb Martin, who was recently upgraded from questionable to available (he missed practice on Saturday due to an illness).

Love is no longer in his prime when he was one of the best forwards in the league, but he is one of the most experienced players on the roster.

The 2016 NBA Champion has averages of 6.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 36.8% from the three-point range through his first 16 games of the 2023 Playoffs.

As for Martin, he has been one of the best players on the team and has averages of 13.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 54.9% from the field and 44.0% from the three-point range through his first 19 games of the Playoffs.
