UPDATE: The Knicks have officially signed Taj Gibson.

On Wednesday evening, the New York Knicks will be in Salt Lake City to face off against the Utah Jazz.

Before the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Knicks will sign Taj Gibson.

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent F/C Taj Gibson is returning to the New York Knicks on a one-year deal, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. With Mitchell Robinson sidelined with an injury, Tom Thibodeau has back one of his favorites. Gibson’s played for Thibodeau with the Bulls, Wolves, Knicks."

Gibson is coming off a season where he appeared in 49 games for the Washington Wizards.

The 38-year-old averaged 3.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.
