According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Kevin Knox has re-signed with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Kevin Knox is coming off a year where he played for the Detroit Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers.

The former Kentucky star was traded during the middle of the season (from Detroit to Portland).

He finished the year with averages of 6.6 points and 2.8 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 34.9% from the three-point range in 63 regular season games.

This summer, Knox became a free agent, and on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that he would re-sign with Portland.

Via Charania: "Free agent forward Kevin Knox is signing a one-year deal to return to the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Knox, the No. 9 pick in the 2018 Draft, averaged 8.9 points and 17.1 minutes in 21 games for Portland last season."

After one season of college basketball with the Wildcats, Knox was initially the ninth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks.

In addition to the Knicks, Pistons and Trail Blazers, he has also spent time with the Atlanta Hawks.

Over five seasons, the 24-year-old has career averages of 7.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 38.5% from the field and 34.2% from the three-point range in 275 regular season games (he has also appeared in three NBA playoff games).
