UPDATE: Utah Jazz Reportedly Will Sign Recent NBA 1st Round Pick

According to Shams Charania and Tony Jones of The Athletic, the Utah Jazz will likely sign Josh Christopher.

UPDATE: The Utah Jazz have officially signed Josh Christopher.

Josh Christopher is coming off a year where he appeared in 64 regular season games for the Houston Rockets. 

He averaged 5.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 23.6% from the three-point range. 

This summer, Christopher was traded from the Rockets to the Memphis Grizzlies and then was waived.

Now, Shams Charania and Tony Jones of The Athletic report that the 21-year-old will likely sign a deal with the Utah Jazz

Via Charania: "The Utah Jazz are planning to sign former Rockets first-round pick Josh Christopher to a two-way NBA deal, sources tell me and @Tjonesonthenba. The guard averaged 7 points and 15.4 minutes across two seasons in Houston. His brother, Patrick, played 4 games for Jazz in 2014-15."

Christopher was initially the 24th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and has spent the first two seasons of his career with Houston. 

His career averages are 6.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 27.7% from the three-point range in 138 regular season games. 

In addition to his time in the NBA, Christopher has also played in the G League. 

Last year, he averaged 25.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 56.0% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range in five games. 

As for the Jazz, they are coming off a year where they were the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 37-45 record.
