Cam Reddish Posts Instagram Story After Signing With Lakers

Cam Reddish made a post to his Instagram story after reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

On Friday evening, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that Cam Reddish and the Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a two-year contract.

The deal was reported within the first three hours of free agency, so the two sides were able to agree quickly.

Charania: "Free agent Cam Reddish has agreed to a two-year deal with the Lakers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium."

Following the news, Reddish (who has over 537,000 followers) made a post to his Instagram story.

Reddish was initially the tenth pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Duke by the Atlanta Hawks.

Coming out of high school, he was seen as a potential superstar, and ESPN had him ranked as the third-best player in the class of 2018.

The 23-year-old spent two and a half seasons with the Hawks and had an outstanding performance in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals when he put up 21 points while making six three-pointers.

In 2022, the Hawks traded Reddish to the New York Knicks, and he played there for part of two seasons before being moved to the Portland Trail Blazers in February.

Last year, Reddish averaged 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 44.6% from the field in 40 games for the Knicks and Trail Blazers.

As for the Lakers, they are coming off a season where they went 43-39 and finished as the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

They made the Western Conference Finals but were swept by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
