Carmelo Anthony's Tweet To LeBron James Is Going Viral

Carmelo Anthony sent out a tweet congratulating Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.

On Tuesday evening, LeBron James completed arguably the most significant individual accomplishment in NBA history when he passed Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the all-time scoring list.

James needed 36 points to pass Abdul-Jabbar (who finished his career with 38,387 points), and he ended the night with 38.

The four-time NBA Champion is considered by many to be the greatest player ever (and is undisputedly a top-ten player ever), so the milestone is another thing that will now be on his future first-ballot Hall of Fame resume.

Many people on social media congratulated James, and one person who sent out a tweet was ten-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony (who posted a photo).

Anthony's caption: "CONGRATS TO MY BROTHER @KINGJAMES MAKING HISTORY"

His post has over 21,000 likes and 500,000 impressions in less than five hours.

Anthony and James came into the league together as part of the 2003 NBA Draft class.

James was the first overall pick, while Anthony was selected third.

They ended up being teammates for one season during their career (2021-22 on the Lakers), but Anthony was no longer in his prime.

At one point, the former Syracuse star was one of the ten best players in the league, and he is ninth on the all-time scoring list with 28,289 points.

Anthony didn't have the career that James has had, but he will also be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Currently, he is a free agent and available to be signed by any team in the league.
