Chet Holmgren Made NBA History Thunder-Rockets Game

On Sunday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder faced off against the Houston Rockets in Texas.   

The Thunder dominated the second half and won by a score of 123-110. 

All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 36 points, five rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block while shooting 13/23 from the field and 2/3 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.  

Rookie Chet Holmgren had an excellent game with 29 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal and three blocks while shooting 11/16 from the field and 5/8 from the three-point range in only 33 minutes of playing time. 

Holmgren also made NBA history.   

Via NBA History: "Chet Holmgren is the first rookie in NBA history to total 150+ BLK and 100+ 3PM in a season."

With the victory, the Thunder improved to 40-17 in 57 games, which has them tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a five-game winning streak. 

The Thunder and Rockets will face off (again) on Tuesday evening in Oklahoma City. 

On the road, the Thunder are 17-11 in 28 games, while they are 23-6 in 29 games at home. 

As for the Rockets, they dropped to 25-32 in 57 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games. 

At home, the Rockets are 20-10 in 30 games, while they are 5-22 in 27 games on the road.
