Chris Paul Makes NBA History On Tuesday Night

Chris Paul made NBA history during Tuesday’s game between the Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets.

On Tuesday evening, the Phoenix Suns are in New York, taking on the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

During the game, Chris Paul made NBA history, as he is now the fourth player ever to record 2,500 career steals.

The only three players with more steals are Michael Jordan, Jason Kidd and John Stockton.

Via The NBA: "Congrats to @CP3 of the @Suns for becoming the 4th player in NBA history to record 2,500+ career steals!"

Paul is in his 18th season in the NBA and will one day be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The 12-time All-Star is in his third year playing for the Suns and has helped them turn around the entire franchise.

Before Paul arrived (2020-21), the Suns had been on a ten-year playoff drought.

In 2021, they made the NBA Finals and last season they had the best record in the league during the regular season (64-18).

Right now, the Suns are tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 29-26 record in 55 games.

Paul is averaging 13.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 8.6 assists per contest.

Before the Suns, he played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and New Orleans Hornets.

The 37-year-old has impressive career averages of 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists per contest in 1,189 games.

There is no question he will go down as one of the ten best point guards to ever play in the NBA.
