Coming out of high school, ESPN ranked Bates as the third-best player in the class of 2021.

Therefore, the 19-year-old clearly has significant potential to be a talented NBA player.

The Cavs are coming off a season where they were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record.

They made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season but lost to the New York Knicks in the first round (in five games).

As for Murray, he finished up his first season with the Hawks averaging an impressive 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 46.4% from the field.

The Hawks (41-41) were the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference after beating the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament but lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round in six games.

Before joining the Hawks in a trade last summer, he had spent the first six seasons of his career playing for the San Antonio Spurs.
