BREAKING: Cleveland Cavaliers Reportedly Trade For 2x NBA Champion

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cleveland Cavaliers have made a trade with the Utah Jazz.

NBA free agency began on June 30, so there has been an abundance of reported signings and trades over the previous 24 hours.

On Saturday afternoon, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired Damian Jones in a deal with the Utah Jazz.

Via Wojnarowski: "The Jazz are trading center Damian Jones to the Cavaliers, sources tell ESPN."

Jones is coming off a season where he averaged 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 64.0% from the field in 41 regular season games.

He started the season with the Los Angeles Lakers but was traded to the Jazz in February.

The 28-year-old was initially the 30th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Vanderbilt.

Before the Jazz and Lakers, Jones also spent time with the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings.

With the Warriors, he made the NBA Finals three times and won two titles.

While Jones was not a key player on those teams, he has tremendous experience from being on one of the greatest dynasties ever.

The Cavs (51-31) had a sensational regular season finishing as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They made the NBA Playoffs for the first time since the 2018 season (when they still had LeBron James) but lost to the New York Knicks in the first round in five games.

As for the Jazz (37-45), they were competitive to start the year but finished as the 12th seed in the Western Conference and missed the postseason.
