Dallas Mavericks Make A Roster Move

The Dallas Mavericks have assigned Olivier-Maxence Prosper to the G League.

UPDATE: The Dallas Mavericks have recalled Olivier-Maxence Prosper.

On Friday evening, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 144-126.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper played five minutes and had one point and one rebound.

On Saturday, the Mavs announced that Prosper has been assigned to the G League.

Via Mavs PR: "The Dallas Mavericks have assigned Olivier-Maxence Prosper to the Texas Legends.

He will be available for tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Blue."

Prosper was the 24th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft after three seasons of college basketball playing for Clemson and Marquette.

This past year, he averaged 12.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 51.2% from the field and 33.9% from the three-point range in 36 games.

There is a good chance that Prosper will spend a lot of time in the G League this season to get more playing time.

As for the Mavs, they are now 7-2 in their first nine games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference (just one game behind the Denver Nuggets).

They are 4-1 in the five games they have played at home in Dallas and 3-1 in the four games they have played on the road.

Following the Clippers, the Mavs will play their next game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday evening (in Louisiana).

Despite having a talented roster led by Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, the Mavs are coming off a season where they were the 11th seed in the Western Conference and missed the NBA playoffs.
