DeMar DeRozan's Status For Magic-Bulls Game

DeMar DeRozan has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls will host the Orlando Magic at the United Center.   

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as DeMar DeRozan has been ruled out.  

Via Chris Haynes of the NBA on TNT and Bleacher Report: "Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan will be away from team and miss Wednesday’s game against Orlando Magic to tend to a family matter, league sources tell @NBAonTNT@BleacherReport. He’s expected to return for in-season tourney game on Friday."

DeRozan has played in all 11 games this season and is averaging 21.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 43.4% from the field and 32.0% from the three-point range.  

The Bulls are 4-7 in their first 11 games and most recently lost to the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 118-109. 

In 37 minutes, DeRozan had 11 points, four rebounds, seven assists and one block while shooting 3/14 from the field. 

DeRozan is in his third season with Chicago and has made the All-Star Game in each of his first two years with the franchise.

The Bulls and Magic will face off (again) on Friday evening at the United Center. 

As for the Magic, they are 5-5 in their first ten games and most recently lost to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 124-104. 

Franz Wagner led the team with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists while shooting 8/16 from the field in 36 minutes of playing time.
