Dennis Schroder Made NBA History In Hawks-Raptors Game

Dennis Schroder made NBA history during Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Toronto Raptors hosted the Atlanta Hawks in Canada. 

The Raptors won the game by a score of 135-128, and Pascal Siakam led the way with 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. 

Dennis Schroder also made NBA history during the game by becoming the 393rd player to score 10,000 career points

The veteran point guard finished his night with 17 points, three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block while shooting 5/11 from the field and 3/4 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

Schroder is in his first season with Toronto and is averaging 15.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 35.3% from the three-point range in 24 games. 

He was the 17th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft and is in his 11th season in the league.

In addition to the Raptors, Schroder has also played for the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder. 

His career averages are 14.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 33.7% from the three-point range in 710 regular season games. 

The 30-year-old has also appeared in 68 NBA playoff games and helped the Lakers reach the Western Conference Finals last season.  

As for the Raptors, they snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 10-14 in their first 24 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference.
