Dennis Schroder's Viral Tweet About Jayson Tatum After Celtics Eliminate 76ers

Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder sent out a tweet about Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum.

On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals by beating the Philadelphia 76ers (112-88) in Game 7 of their second-round playoff series.

All-Star forward Jayson Tatum was sensational, putting up 51 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 42 minutes of playing time.

He also shot 17/28 from the field and 6/10 from the three-point range. 

The 51 points were the most ever scored in a Game 7 in NBA history. 

Following the game, Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder sent out a tweet about Tatum (with a photo) that went viral on Twitter.

The post had nearly 16,000 likes and 1.6 million impressions in less than nine hours. 

Schroder captioned his tweet: "He wasn’t lying about being one of the best in the world 🤣😅 That‘s Tuff! 💯🔥"

Schroder was referencing Tatum's postgame comments after Game 6. 

The Celtics will now face off with Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in the Conference Finals with Game 1 on Wednesday night in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Schroder and Tatum were briefly teammates while he was on the Celtics for the first half of the 2021-22 season. 

He is in his second tenure with the Lakers and averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest during the regular season. 

The Lakers are currently in the Western Conference Finals after beating the Golden State Warriors in the second round (in six games).

They will play Game 1 against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in Colorado on Tuesday night.
