Dennis Schroder's Viral Tweet After The Lakers Beat The Timberwolves

Dennis Schroder sent out a tweet after the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves played a thriller in the play-in tournament.

The Lakers won 108-102 in overtime (at home in Los Angeles, California), which clinched the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

Veteran point guard Dennis Schroder had 21 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes of playing time.

He also hit a shot with 1.4 seconds left in regulation to give the Lakers a lead, but Anthony Davis fouled Mike Conley with 0.01 seconds left (and Conley made all three free throws to force overtime).

After the massive victory, Schroder sent out a tweet with a photo.

Schroder captioned his photo: "FREEZE! đŸ„¶"

The 29-year-old is in his second tenure with the Lakers after initially being their starting point guard during the 2021 season (they lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs that season).

Last year, he played for the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets before returning to the franchise this past summer in free agency.

He has been a vital part of their team this season and averaged 12.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest during the regular season.

After a slow start to the year, the Lakers were able to turn around their season and finish with a 43-39 record (they went 8-2 over their final ten games).

They will now face off with Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.

Game 1 of the series will tip off on Sunday afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee.
