Denver Nuggets Make A Roster Decision

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Denver Nuggets made a decision on Christian Braun's third-year option.

Christian Braun was the 21st pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Kansas, and spent his rookie year with the Denver Nuggets.

The 22-year-old averaged 4.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 49.5% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range in 76 regular season games.

On Tuesday evening, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Nuggets made a decision on Braun's third-year option in his contract.

Via Wojnarowski: "As expected, the Denver Nuggets are picking up the third-year option on guard Christian Braun, sources tell ESPN. Braun — the fifth player to win back-to-back NCAA and NBA titles — is expected to assume a sixth man role this season."

The Nuggets are coming off a season where they were the first seed in the Western Conference with a 53-29 record.

They beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers in the first three rounds of the NBA playoffs to advance to the Finals.

In the Finals, the Nuggets beat the Miami Heat to win their first NBA Championship in franchise history.

Braun played in 19 playoff games and averaged 3.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.3% from the field.

The Nuggets will play their first preseason game of the year on Tuesday evening when they go up against the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.

Following the Suns, the Nuggets will visit the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.

They will play their first regular season game on October 24 when they host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at Ball Arena in Colorado.
