On Monday evening, the Denver Nuggets are hosting the Miami Heat at Ball Arena in Colorado for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

At halftime, the Nuggets trailed by nine points and struggled to shoot the ball in a big way.

In fact, they shot so poorly that they were on the wrong side of NBA history.

Via ESPN Stats & Info: "The Nuggets finished 1-15 (6.7%) from 3 in the 1st half, the worst in any half in Finals history (min. 10 attempts)"

For reference, the Nuggets were the second-best three-point shooting team in the NBA during the regular season (38.0% 3P).

Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. (three of their four best players) all shot above 38% from the three-point range.

The Nuggets are the first seed in the Western Conference and have defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers through the first three rounds of the NBA Playoffs.

This is the first time the franchise has ever reached the Finals, and they have a chance to win their first-ever title in front of their home crowd at Ball Arena on Monday night.

After Games 1 and 2 in Denver, the series was tied up at 1-1, but the Nuggets were able to win both Games 3 and 4 on the road in Miami, Florida.

If the Heat pull off the upset, Game 6 will be back in Miami on Thursday (and a potential Game 7 would be in Denver on Sunday).
