Denver Nuggets Sign 3 New Players

The Denver Nuggets have signed three new players.

Earlier this month, the Denver Nuggets began training camp, and they have now played two preseason games (they have gone 1-1).

On Friday, the team announced that they had signed three new players.

Via Nuggets PR: "The Denver Nuggets have signed center Amida Brimah, forward Au’Diese Toney and Jamorko Pickett to contracts, General Manager Calvin Booth announced today. In a related move, the team has also requested waivers on Armaan Franklin, Andrew Funk and Souley Boum."

Brimah went undrafted in 2017 and has played five games in the NBA during the 2020-21 season for the Indiana Pacers.

He averaged 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 62.5% from the field.

Toney went undrafted in 2022 and has yet to make his NBA debut.

This past year, he played in the G League and averaged 8.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 55.8% from the field and 38.0% from the three-point range in 28 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase Cup games).

Pickett went undrafted in 2021 and has played 13 games in the NBA during the 2021-22 season with the Detroit Pistons.

That year, he averaged 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 36.0% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

As for the Nuggets, they are coming off a sensational year where they were the first seed in the Western Conference.

They won the 2023 NBA Championship by beating Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in the Finals (in five games).

On October 24, the Nuggets will begin the regular season by hosting the Los Angeles Lakers.
