Dillon Brooks Calls Out LeBron James Following Grizzlies-Lakers Game 2

Following their win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 on Wednesday night, Memphis Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks called out LeBron James.

Dillon Brooks is never afraid to get in someone's face and talk about any player in the NBA. Following their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of their first-round series on Wednesday night, the Memphis Grizzlies wing once again took to the cameras, only this time to call out one of the greatest players of all-time in LeBron James.

Brooks and James got into it a couple of times in Game 2, chirping at one another throughout the game, and Brooks got the "last-laugh" in his postgame remarks.

"I don't care, he's old," Brooks said when asked about his confrontation with LeBron James during Wednesday night's game in Memphis. "I was waiting for that, I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5, but he wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. Should've been saying that earlier on. You know, I poke bears. I don’t respect someone until they come and give me 40.

"I pride myself on what I do on defense and taking on any challenge that's on the board."

Brooks and James were talking quite a bit during Game 2 and after hitting a fadeaway jumper in the third quarter, LeBron began talking back to Dillon Brooks, much to Brooks' delight.

The Grizzlies' wing also stated that he wishes he had the chance to guard LeBron James when he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers or Miami Heat earlier in his career, as according to Dillon Brooks, it would have been a "harder task" than guarding him today.

This is definitely not a surprise to hear Dillon Brooks saying things like this about a player, but it is a little surprising to see him doing so with LeBron James when the Lakers own the early advantage in the series, as they stole Game 1 on the road.

James, as stellar of a career as he has had during the regular season, has put up some of the greatest numbers in league history in the postseason and if Brooks is not careful, James may very well go for 40 or more points in a game at some point the rest of this series.

With the series all knotted up at 1-1, the Grizzlies will hit the road and fly across the country to California, where the Lakers will host them for Game 3 in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 22.
