On Saturday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies are in California facing off with the Los Angeles Lakers for Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.

During the third quarter, Dillon Brooks received a flagrant 2 foul and was ejected.

Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin: "Seventeen seconds into the 2nd half, Dillon Brooks intentionally hit LeBron James in the groin. After an official's review, Brooks was given a flagrant-2 foul and ejected from the game."

The play can be watched here (via ESPN).

Brooks finishes the game with seven points, two rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes of playing time.

He shot just 3/13 from the field and 1/5 from the three-point range.

Following Game 2, Brooks made comments about James that went viral, and they were also seen talking to each other pregame.

The two teams are tied up at 1-1 after they split Games 1 and 2 in Memphis.

On the road, the Grizzlies have struggled, going just 16-25 in the 41 games they have played away from their home floor.

Therefore, the Lakers (who are 23-18 at home) will have an excellent chance to take a commanding lead in the series.

The Grizzlies finished the season with a 51-31 record, which got them the second seed for the second consecutive season.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are the seventh seed and finished with a 43-39 record (they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament).

Whoever wins the series will advance to the second round and face off with either the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
