Donovan Mitchell's Instagram Post After Cavs-Nets Game

Donovan Mitchell made a post to Instagram after Thursday's game.

On Thursday afternoon, the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Brooklyn Nets in Paris, France.  

The Cavs were in control for the entire game and won by a score of 111-102. 

All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell was sensational and put up 45 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four steals while shooting 15/30 from the field and 4/12 from the three-point range in 41 minutes of playing time.    

After the game (on Friday), Mitchell made a post to Instagram that had over 92,000 likes in less than 24 hours. 

Mitchell captioned his post: "Merci Paris 🇫🇷❤️"

Mitchell is now averaging 27.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 34.9% from the three-point range in 28 games.   

With the victory, the Cavs improved to 22-15 in their first 37 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.  

Following the Nets, the Cavs will return home to host DeMar DeRozan and the Chicago Bulls on Monday evening in Ohio. 

Mitchell was the 13th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and is in his seventh season in the league.  

He is in his second year with the Cavs and is coming off a season where he led the franchise to the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2018. 

They were the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and lost to the New York Knicks in the first round.
