Draymond Green Just Became The 3rd Golden State Warriors Player To Ever Do This

Draymond Green is the third Golden State Warriors player to reach 1,000 career steals.

On Monday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

During the game, four-time NBA All-Star Draymond Green made Warriors history.

He is now the third player to ever record 1,000 steals for the franchise.

Warriors: "Draymond has become the third Warrior in franchise history to reach 1,000 steals"

Green is the best defender on the team (and one of the best in the entire league).

The former Michigan State star has made the All-Defensive Team seven times and won the 2017 Defensive Player of The Year Award.

Chris Mullen (1,360) and his teammate Steph Curry (1,404) are the only two players in front of him on the Warriors' all-time steals list.

In addition to reaching the 1,000 steals milestone, Green is only two three-pointers away from passing Tim Hardaway to become fourth on the all-time three-pointers list for the Warriors.

The 32-year-old has spent his entire 11-year career with the organization and helped them win four NBA Championships in the previous eight seasons.

Right now, he is averaging 8.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists per contest (while shooting 51.2% from the field).

The Warriors won the title last season, but they've had an up-and-down 2022-23 season.

They entered the evening 27-26 in 53 games, which has them tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

That said, the west has been extremely tight, and they are only 3.0 games behind the Sacramento Kings for the third seed.
