Draymond Green's Bold Statement After Timberwolves-Warriors Game

Draymond Green met with the media after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Chase Center.

They lost the game by a score of 116-110, and Anthony Edwards led the way with 33 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

Steph Curry had 38 points for the Warriors, but no one else on the team scored more than 16.

After the game, four-time NBA Champion Draymond Green met with the media and shared a bold statement (via Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

Green: "We gotta step up; when you're playing well, players get the credit and you get paid, right? It's the league we're in. You play well, you get credit, you get paid, you get All-Star appearances, you get all-defensive teams, all-NBA teams, this thing, that thing, but when you're playing bad, players gotta f**king take the blame as well."

Green finished his night with nine points, nine rebounds, seven assists and one steal while shooting 3/7 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 24 minutes of playing time.

The former Michigan State star is averaging 9.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 45.0% from the three-point range in eight games.

With the loss, the Warriors are now 6-5 in their first 11 games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

They will play their next game against the Timberwolves (again) at the Chase Center on Tuesday evening.
