Draymond Green Speaks On Klay Thompson's Future With Golden State Warriors

Draymond Green met with the media after Tuesday's loss.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors had their season come to an end when they lost 118-94 to the Kings (in Sacramento).

The Warriors now head home for the offseason, while the Kings will face off against the New Orleans Pelicans for a chance to be the eighth seed in the NBA playoffs.

A lot of attention has been on the future of Klay Thompson, who has spent his entire career with Golden State, but is a free agent this summer.

After the game, Anthony Slater of The Athletic asked Draymond Green about Thompson.

Green: "Obviously we want Klay back. We've been through a lot. Incredible highs, some s**tty lows, but the common denominator through both of them is that we've gone through each and every scenario together. It's obvious that we want to continue what we've been doing, but I understand that he's got a decision to make and he's gonna make the best decision for him."

Green also went on to add how he believes in the franchise's ownership group and acknowledged how they have taken care of himself, Thompson and Steph Curry over the years.

Thompson finished Tuesday's loss with 0 points, four rebounds and one assist while shooting 0/10 from the field in 32 minutes of playing time.

He averaged 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 43.2% from the field and 38.7% from the three-point range in 77 regular season games.

The former Washington State star has helped lead the franchise to four NBA titles.
