Former NBA 1st Round Pick Traded In G League Deal

Darius Bazley has been traded to the Delaware Blue Coats (G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers).

Darius Bazley is coming off a season where he played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns. 

The 23-year-old played in 43 regular season games and had averages of 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 45.4% from the field and 37.7% from the three-point range. 

He also appeared in seven NBA playoff games with the Suns (who lost in the second round).  

On Friday, the Delaware Blue Coats (G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ersannounced that they had acquired Bazley in a trade with the Wisconsin Herd (G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks).

Bazley was initially the 23rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, and has played four seasons in the league (for the Thunder and Suns). 

His career averages are 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 41.1% from the field and 31.0% from the three-point range in 228 regular season games. 

The Blue Coats also announced (on Saturday) that Bazley has been activated.

Bazley has played well during his time in the NBA, so he could be a name to watch for a team to sign during the season.
