Huge News Regarding Andrew Wiggins' Return Reported On Tuesday

Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins is expected to make his return to the floor in Game 1 of the Warriors' first-round playoff series against the Sacramento Kings.

The Golden State Warriors will be playing the Sacramento Kings in the first-round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs beginning on Saturday and the defending champions will likely be getting a massive upgrade for this series.

According to ESPN's Kendra Andrews, Andrew Wiggins, who has not played in a game for Golden State since February 13 due to personal reasons, is expected to suit up and be ready for Saturday's game in Sacramento.

"The Warriors are planning on having him back in Game 1,” Andrews told Mark Willard and Larry Krueger on 95.7 The Game in San Francisco. “That is the absolute plan. I’ve been told that he’s looking good in his scrimmages and his practices. They wanted to play it really safe with keeping him out of that Portland game, but the Warriors are happy with his progression."

This would certainly be a huge boost to the Warriors chances of not only winning this series, but possibly making another title run as well.

Wiggins proved to be an essential part of the Warriors' success in the playoffs a season ago and prior to taking a leave of absence from the team this season, Wiggins was averaging 17.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting a career-best 39.6 percent from three-point range.

At this time, it is unknown if Andrew Wiggins will have his minutes limited in his first game back in Game 1 on Saturday, but he was staying in shape and condition while away from the team the last two months.

"If he’s gonna be starting or not – I don’t know," Andrews went on to say. "I remember when Steph Curry came back from his injury in the playoffs last season, they elected to bring him off the bench for the first two games. That’s not out of the question for Andrew Wiggins, who missed two months, right? But the good thing with Andrew Wiggins was that he was able to work out while he was away from the team, so the team is feeling comfortable about bringing him along quicker, a little bit quicker, and having him ready for Game 1."

With Andrew Wiggins back and locked in for the playoffs, the Golden State Warriors will once again be one of the toughest teams to beat in a seven-game series.
