Golden State Warriors Player Out Indefinitely Due To Personal Reasons

Steve Kerr gave an update on Andrew Wiggins during an appearance on Willard & Dibs.

On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards by a score of 123-112.

However, the team was without one of their best players, as Andrew Wiggins was ruled out due to personal reasons.

Head coach Steve Kerr made an appearance on Willard & Dibs (on Wednesday) and provided an update on Wiggins, who has also been ruled out for Thursday's game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Kerr: "Wiggs is a private person, and he's asked to keep it private and we're going to honor that. It doesn't help for me to sit here and try to explain any of that. The bottom line is we respect Wiggs. We need him, and we fully expect him back but we just don't know when that will be."

Wiggins is averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 45.5% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range in 51 games.

Last season, the former Kansas star missed 25 games due to personal reasons.

Right now, the Warriors are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 30-27 record in 57 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and 14-12 in the 26 games they have played on the road away from the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Following their matchup with the Knicks, the Warriors will visit the Toronto Raptors on Friday evening in Canada.

The Warriors are coming off a season where they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.
