Golden State Warriors Make 2 Roster Moves

On Friday, the Golden State Warriors assigned two players to the G League.

UPDATE: Both players have been recalled to the Warriors.

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder (at home) by a score of 128-109.

They were playing without Steph Curry and Draymond Green, and the loss was their fifth in a row.

On Friday, the team announced that they had made two roster moves.

Via Warriors PR: "Warriors assign Trayce Jackson-Davis & Gui Santos to Santa Cruz. Both players are expected to play in Santa Cruz’s game against the G League Ignite tonight at Kaiser Permanente Arena (7 p.m. PST tipoff)."

Jackson-Davis was the 57th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has played in ten games for the Warriors so far this season.

The former Indiana star is averaging 3.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 55.6% from the field.

During Thursday's loss, he played five minutes and had one rebound.

Meanwhile, Santos signed with the Warriors earlier this month.

He was the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and made his debut during Thursday's loss, putting up two points, three rebounds and one assist in four minutes of playing time.

As for the Warriors, they are 6-7 in their first 13 games, which has them as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

At home, they have gone 1-5 in the six games they have hosted at the Chase Center, but they are 5-2 in the seven games they have played on the road.

On Saturday evening, the Warriors will play their next game against the Thunder (again) at home.
