Golden State Warriors Reportedly Make A Roster Move

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Golden State Warriors will sign Lester Quinones to another two-way contract.

Lester Quinones is coming off his rookie season, where he played four games for the Golden State Warriors and averaged 2.5 points per contest.

He was on a two-way contract, so he also played in the G League and averaged an impressive 21.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 45.1% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range in 31 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase Cup games).

On Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Warriors would sign Quinones to another two-way contract.

Via Charania: "Guard Lester Quinones has agreed to return to the Golden State Warriors on a two-way NBA deal, per sources. Quinones will enter training camp with a strong opportunity for full roster spot. He averaged 21.9 PPG, 4.4 APG and 4.1 RPG in seven Summer League games for the Warriors."

Despite limited playing time in the NBA, Quinones showed significant potential with his fantastic year in the G League.

Therefore, this could end up being a good move for the Warriors, and Charania reported that he will have a chance to make the 15-man roster.

Last year, the Warriors were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and had a 44-38 record.

They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs in seven games but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers (in the second round) in six games.

The franchise has won four titles and been to the NBA Finals six times over the previous nine seasons.
