Golden State Warriors NBA Champion Signs With New Team

According to Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype, Jordan Bell has signed with a team in China.

Jordan Bell has spent this season playing for the Indiana Mad Ants (the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers).

Recently, the Mad Ants announced that he had left the team (via contract buyout) to play overseas.

Bell had been averaging 12.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 64.6% from the field in 22 games.

Via The Mad Ants on March 11: "We have made a roster change as Jordan Bell, the franchise's all-time leader in blocks, will pursue an international opportunity."

On Thursday, Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype reported that Bell has now signed with the Guangdong Southern Tigers (a team in China).

Bell was the 38th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and spent the first two seasons of his pro career with the Golden State Warriors.

They made the Finals in both years, and he helped them win the 2018 NBA Championship.

In addition to the Warriors, Bell has also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies over his five seasons in the league.

His career averages are 3.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 55.2% from the field and 20.0% from the three-point range in 161 regular season games.

Bell's most recent stint in the NBA came during the 2021-22 season when he appeared in one game for the Bulls.

He is only 29 years old, so it's possible he could get another chance if he plays well in China.
