Golden State Warriors Reportedly Sign 6-Year NBA Veteran

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Golden State Warriors are signing Dario Saric.

Dario Saric missed the entire 2022 season due to an injury, but this past year he returned and averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range in 57 games for the Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder.

This summer, the 29-year-old became a free agent, and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported (on Saturday) that he is signing with the Golden State Warriors

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent F Dario Saric has agreed on a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, sources tell ESPN. Saric was one of the most sought-after players left on the market."

Saric was initially the 12th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and averaged 13.5 points per contest over his first 172 regular season games (with the Philadelphia 76ers).

In addition to the 76ers, Suns and Thunder, he has also spent time with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

His career averages are 11.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point range in 413 regular season games (he has also appeared in 24 NBA Playoff games).

The Warriors have won the NBA Championship four times (and been to the NBA Finals six times) over the previous nine seasons.

However, they are coming off a year where they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and had a 44-38 record.

They defeated the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the following round.
