How To Watch NBA Playoffs First-Round: 76ers at Nets Game 3

The Philadelphia 76ers (2-0) and the Brooklyn Nets (0-2) will play Game 3 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series on Thursday. Here’s how to watch, with gametime and TV information, lineups, bios, plus other key information pertaining to both teams.

The 2022-23 NBA regular season has come to an end and with the Play-In Tournament coming to an end, it is officially time for the playoffs to begin!

On Thursday night, the first-round series between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers will continue, as the two teams will meet in Brooklyn for Game 3.

Looking to steal one of the first two games on the road, the Nets were unsuccessful in their efforts, as the 76ers came up with two straight double-digit victories to kick things off in this first-round series.

In Game 2, the Nets offense struggled to get anything going as they scored just 84 points. This was Brooklyn’s lowest scoring output in a game since June 10, 2021 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor and 31.0 percent from three-point range as a team, the Nets couldn’t buy a basket against Philadelphia. Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges combined for 49 points, but the rest of the team combined for just 35 points on 13-44 shooting, just 29.5 percent from the floor.

On the other side of things, the 76ers shot 45 percent from the floor and they were led by not Joel Embiid nor James Harden, but Tyrese Maxey with 33 points. While he did score 20 points, Embiid made his impact felt on the glass, as this season’s presumable MVP tallied 19 rebounds.

With another win over the Nets, the 76ers will inch a victory away from yet another trip to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Can Philadelphia take a commanding 3-0 series lead or will Brooklyn show some life at home?

What Happened In Game 2?

April 17, 2023 - 76ers 96, Nets 84

In a very low-scoring affair, Tyrese Maxey’s 33 points and Joel Embiid’s all-around game of 20 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assist proved to be the difference in Philadelphia taking a 2-0 series lead. What has gone unnoticed so far is the contributions of Tobias Harris, as he followed up a 21-point, 4-rebound performance in Game 1 with 20 points and 12 rebounds against the Nets in Game 2. For Brooklyn, Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges showed up, but the rest of the team did not and Brooklyn’s offense was dormant all night long. Despite having 19 turnovers, the Sixers still looked like they were on cruise control in this one.
