Jonathan Kuminga is one of the best young players on the Golden State Warriors.
This past year, the 2021 seventh-overall pick averaged 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 37.0% from the three-point range in 67 regular season games.
Recently, a video of Kuminga throwing down an impressive dunk is going viral on social media.
The clip is originally from Packie Turner and was reposted to Twitter by warriorsworld.
For the Warriors to take another step forward in 2024, they will need Kuminga to have a big season.
He played well during the 2022-23 regular season but fell out of the rotation during the NBA playoffs.
In the postseason, the 20-year-old averaged 3.4 points per contest in 6.1 minutes of playing time.
The Warriors were the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-38 record and beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round (in seven games).
However, they lost to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).
In 2022, the Warriors won the NBA Championship over the Boston Celtics, so Kuminga won a title as a rookie (he averaged 5.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest in 8.6 minutes of playing time during the postseason).
The Warriors have won the NBA Championship four times (and been to the Finals six times) in the previous nine seasons.
At such a young age, Kuminga has played well when given the opportunity and will likely only get more playing time next season.
