Indiana Pacers Reportedly Sign Elite 3-Point Shooter

According to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress, the Indiana Pacers will sign Darius McGhee.

Darius McGhee went undrafted in June after a stellar five-season college career for Liberty.

This past year, he averaged 22.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.

On Tuesday, Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress reported that McGhee would sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the Indiana Pacers

Via Givony: "NEWS: Liberty guard Darius McGhee has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Indiana Pacers, he told ESPN. McGhee, arguably the best shooter in college basketball, averaged 23.3 points per game while making 39% of his 3-pointers on nearly 12 attempts per game."

Due to the fact that it's an Exhibit 10 deal, McGhee will likely go to training camp with Indiana.

If he doesn't make the roster, then there is a high chance that he will join their G League team.

Considering McGhee is an elite three-point shooter, he is an intriguing prospect and could end up being a good signing.

As for the Pacers, they are coming off a year where they were competitive to start the season but fell off a the end of the year.

They finished as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record and missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight season.

The franchise entered a rebuilding mode after trading away veterans such as Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert over the last few years.

That said, the Pacers have a talented roster that features All-Star Tyrese Haliburton and veteran-center Myles Turner.
