On Tuesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans in Louisiana.

Ja Morant made his return to the starting lineup after missing the first 25 games of the season due to suspension

The Pelicans had a 19-point lead at halftime, but the Grizzlies were able to make a big comeback.

Morant had the ball for the game's final possession, and with the score tied at 113-113, he made a shot as the buzzer sounded to give the Grizzlies a 115-113 victory.

Morant finished his night with 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block while shooting 12/24 from the field in 35 minutes of playing time.

He is coming off a season where he averaged a sensational 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field in 61 games.

With the victory, the Grizzlies snapped a five-game losing streak and improved to 7-19 in their first 26 games.

They had struggled in a significant way without Morant, so having him back in the lineup could drastically change their season.

Following the Pelicans, the Grizzlies will now host the Indiana Pacers on Thursday evening in Memphis.

As for the Pelicans, they dropped to 16-12 in their first 28 games, and the loss snapped a four-game winning streak.

Brandon Ingram led the team with 34 points.

Following the Grizzlies, they will play their next game on Thursday evening when they visit Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio.
