Ja Morant's Viral Post On X After Grizzlies-Pelicans Game
On Tuesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies were in New Orleans facing off against the Pelicans.
The Grizzlies won the game by a score of 116-115 (in overtime), and Ja Morant led the way with 31 points, five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 12/24 from the field and 1/7 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.
After the game, the All-Star point guard sent out a post on X.
There were over 26,000 likes and 675,000 impressions in less than 24 hours.
Morant wrote: "🐻🐻🐻🐻 4 of em"
Since Morant returned to the lineup, the Grizzlies have gone 4-0, and the team is now 10-19 in their first 29 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 5-5 over their last ten games and 8-8 in the 16 games they have played on the road away from Memphis.
Morant is averaging 28.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field (in four games).
Following the Pelicans, the Grizzlies will play their next game on Thursday evening when they visit Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.
Morant was the second pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Murray State and is in his fifth season in the league.
He has led the Grizzlies to the NBA playoffs in each of the previous three seasons, and they are coming off a year where they were the second seed in the Western Conference with a 51-31 record.
