Jalen Brunson's Status For Knicks-Celtics Game

Jalen Brunson has been ruled out for Tuesday's game.

On Tuesday evening, the New York Knicks will be in Massachusetts to face off against the Boston Celtics for a preseason game.

They have gone 1-1 in their first two games, and are coming off a 121-112 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

For Tuesday's game, they will be without two of their best players, as both Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson have been ruled out.

Via Brian Robb of 98.5 The Sports Hub: "Knicks will be resting a number of their starters including Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson tonight vs. Celtics."

Brunson is coming off the best season of his career, where he averaged 24.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field and 41.6% from the three-point range in 68 games.

He had spent the first four seasons of his career with the Dallas Mavericks before signing with the Knicks last summer.

In addition to Brunson's fantastic season, the Knicks were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 47-35 record.

They beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, which was their first time winning a series since 2013.

However, the Knicks lost to the Miami Heat in the second round in six games.

The Knicks will likely be among the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season, and they will play their first game of the year on October 25 when they host the Celtics at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
