James Harden Made NBA History In Wizards-Clippers Game

James Harden made NBA history during Friday's game.

UPDATE: The Clippers won by a score of 140-115, and James Harden finished with 28 points, four rebounds, eight assists and three blocks. 

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers are hosting the Washington Wizards in California.  

James Harden had an excellent first half and put up 21 points, four rebounds, five assists and two blocks while shooting 7/11 from the field and 5/8 from the three-point range in 17 minutes of playing time.   

The 2018 MVP also made NBA history by becoming just the third player to make 2,900 career three-pointers. 

Harden is in his first season with Los Angeles and is averaging 17.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.5% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point range in 52 games. 

The Clippers are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-20 record in 57 games. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Clippers lost to the Los Angeles Lakers by a score of 116-112. 

Harden had 23 points, three rebounds, nine assists and one steal while shooting 8/16 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Wizards, the Clippers will visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday. 

Harden is in his 15th season in the league and has also spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. 

His career averages are 24.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range.
