On Friday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Atlanta Hawks in Pennsylvania.

The 76ers have gone 1-2 in their first three preseason games and are coming off a 127-119 victory over the Brooklyn Nets (at Barclays Center in New York).

For Friday's game, the 76ers will remain without one of their best players, as James Harden has been ruled out.

Via Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium: "James Harden remains away from 76ers due to personal matter and is out for preseason finale vs. Hawks tonight.

No preseason games in for Harden, who has not been with the team since Sunday."

Harden is coming off a year where he averaged 21.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 44.1% from the field and 38.5% from the three-point range in 58 regular season games.

The 76ers were the third seed in the Western Conference and swept the Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

However, they lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round (in seven games).

Harden was initially the third pick in the 2009 NBA Draft out of Arizona State and has played 14 seasons in the league for the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooklyn Nets (and 76ers).

His career averages are 24.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range in 1,000 regular season games (he has also appeared in 160 NBA playoff games).
