James Harden Will Likely Make NBA History On Friday Night

James Harden will likely make NBA history in Friday's game.

On Friday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will be in Texas to square off with the San Antonio Spurs.

2018 MVP James Harden is in the middle of a tremendous season with averages of 21.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 11.0 assists and 1.2 steals per contest in 34 games.

He is also shooting 44.9% from the field and 39.4% from the three-point range.

The former Arizona State star is attempting 7.4 three-pointers per contest, which means that he will likely make NBA history during Friday’s game against the Spurs.

Right now, Harden is third on the all-time list for three-pointers attempted with 7,427 attempts.

Ray Allen finished his career second (with 7,429), so as long as Harden attempts more than two three-pointers, he will pass Allen on the all-time list.

The only person ahead of Allen is Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry, who has attempted 7,717.

Harden is in his second season with the 76ers after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets at the 2022 trading deadline.

The duo of Harden and Joel Embiid makes up one of the most talented cores in the league.

Last season, they lost to the Miami Heat in the second round of the NBA Playoffs, but they should be seen as a contender this year.

Currently, the 76ers are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-17 record in 50 games (they are 8-2 in their last ten).

They are one game behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the second seed and three games behind the Boston Celtics for the first seed.
