Jaylen Brown Made Boston Celtics History Against Mavericks

Jaylen Brown moved up on the all-time games played list for the Boston Celtics.

On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics are facing off against the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.   

Jaylen Brown is playing in his 511th career game, which ties Jim Loscutoff for 24th on the all-time games played list for the Celtics.   

Following Loscutoff, the next player for Brown to pass will be Rajon Rondo (527).  

Brown came into the evening with averages of 22.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 49.0% from the field and 36.0% from the three-point range in 40 games.  

He has helped the Celtics get off to an excellent start to the season, as they are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 33-10 record in their first 43 games. 

They are on the second night of a back-to-back after defeating the Houston Rockets by a score of 116-107.  

In 31 minutes of playing time, Brown had 13 points, 11 rebounds, ten assists and three steals while shooting 6/14 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range. 

Following the Mavs, the Celtics will remain on the road to face off against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Thursday evening in Florida. 

Brown was the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and is in his eighth season in the league (all with the Celtics). 

He has helped the franchise make the Eastern Conference Finals five times and they reached the NBA Finals in 2022. 

His career averages are 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
