Jaylen Brown Made Boston Celtics History Against Raptors

Jaylen Brown has moved up on the franchise's all-time games played list.

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics are hosting the Toronto Raptors in Massachusetts.    

All-Star forward Jaylen Brown is playing in his 499th career game, which ties Steve Kuberski for 25th on the Celtics' all-time regular season games played list.   

Following Kuberski, the next player for Brown to pass will be Jim Loscutoff (511).  

Brown came into the night with averages of 22.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 47.8% from the field and 33.5% from the three-point range in 28 games.   

He had missed the team's last game but returned to the lineup after a one-game absence. 

The 27-year-old was the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Cal and is in his eighth season in the league (all with the Celtics). 

He has helped lead the franchise to the Eastern Conference Finals five times, and they made the 2022 NBA Finals.

His career averages are 18.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 36.3% from the three-point range. 

As for the Celtics, they are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 24-6 record in their first 30 games. 

They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and are 9-1 over their last ten games. 

Most recently, the Celtics beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 128-122. 

Following the Raptors, they will travel to San Antonio to face off against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs on Sunday evening.
