Jimmy Butler Bleeds After Elbow To Face In Grizzlies-Heat Game

Jimmy Butler was elbowed in the face during Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat hosted the Memphis Grizzlies in Florida. 

Late in the fourth quarter, Jimmy Butler was inadvertently elbowed in the face and started bleeding (h/t NBA on ESPN).  

Thankfully, nothing was serious, as the six-time NBA All-Star was able to stay in the game.  

The Grizzlies won by a score of 105-96, and six players on the team scored in double-digits.   

Butler finished his night with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 4/10 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time. 

With the loss, the Heat dropped to 24-20 in their first 44 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.  

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game losing streak. 

Following the Grizzlies, the Heat will remain in Miami to face off against Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics on Thursday evening. 

At home, they are 12-9 in the 21 games.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies improved to 17-27 in their first 44 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.  

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 6-4 over their last ten games.   

Following the Heat, the Grizzlies will return home to host the Orlando Magic on Friday evening in Memphis. 

On the road, they have gone 13-12 in 25 games, while they are 4-15 in the 19 games they have played at home.
