Jimmy Butler's Official Status For Heat-76ers Game

Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Pennsylvania to face off against the Philadelphia 76ers.

For the game, the Heat will remain without their best player, as six-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler has been ruled out due to personal reasons

Butler has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.

Via Ira Winderman of Sun Sentinel on Tuesday: "Philadelphia to be without both Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (hip) on Wednesday night against visiting Heat. Also out for 76ers: Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington and De'Anthony Melton. Heat will remain without Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier and Josh Richardson."

Butler has played in 37 games and is averaging 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 44.0% from the three-point range.

The Heat are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 29-25 record in 54 games.

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Milwaukee Bucks by a score of 123-97.

Following the 76ers, the Heat will play their next game on February 23 when they visit Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans.

As for the 76ers, they are the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-21 record in 53 games.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
