Joel Embiid's Viral Post On X After Pacers-76ers Game
On Sunday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Indiana Pacers (at home) by a score of 137-126.
Tyrese Maxey led the way with 50 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three blocks while shooting 20/32 from the field and 7/11 from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.
After the game, 2023 MVP Joel Embiid sent out a post on X with a photo of him and Maxey.
There were over 22,000 likes and nearly one million impressions in less than three hours.
Embiid captioned the post: "THE FRANCHISE @TyreseMaxey #50"
Maxey has become one of the players in the NBA and is now averaging 28.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 50.5% from the field and 43.1% from the three-point range.
The 76ers have improved to 8-1 in their first nine games and are in the middle of an eight-game winning streak.
They are the first seed in the Eastern Conference and a perfect 6-0 on their home floor.
As for Embiid, he finished the game with 37 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block while shooting 12/26 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.
The six-time All-Star is averaging 32.4 points, 11.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest while shooting 50.5% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range.
The 76ers will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host the Pacers (again).
