Jordan Poole Avoids Injury After Scary Fall In Wizards-Suns Game

On Sunday evening, the Washington Wizards were in Arizona facing off against the Phoenix Suns.    

The Suns won the game by a score of 112-108, and Kevin Durant led the way with 28 points, five rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block while shooting 11/24 from the field in 35 minutes of playing time.   

During the game, Jordan Poole slipped on the court, but he was able to avoid an injury and stayed in the game (h/t ClutchPoints).  

Poole finished his night with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 5/17 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.   

With the loss, the Wizards fell to 4-21 in their first 25 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 2-13 in the 15 games they have played on the road and will play their next game on Monday when they visit the Sacramento Kings in California.  

Poole is in his first season with the Wizards after getting traded (via the Golden State Warriors) over the offseason. 

The former Michigan star spent the first four years of his career with Golden State and helped them win the 2022 NBA Championship. 

As for the Suns, they improved to 14-12 in their first 26 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.  

Following the Wizards, they will play their next game on Tuesday when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
