Karl-Anthony Towns' Dunk Is Going Viral In Clippers-Timberwolves Game

On Sunday evening, Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves hosted the Los Angeles Clippers at the Target Center. 

The Timberwolves won the game by a score of 109-106, and Anthony Edwards led the way with 33 points, eight rebounds, five assists and two steals while shooting 10/16 from the field. 

Star forward Karl-Anthony Towns put up 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists while shooting 7/12 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time. 

During the game, the former Kentucky star also had a big dunk, which got a lot of attention on social media.

Towns was being guarded by Russell Westbrook, who fell, and then he drove down the lane, where he finished off a one-handed jam. 

Towns has played in 38 games and is averaging 21.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest while shooting 51.2% from the field and 41.9% from the three-point range.  

With the victory, the Timberwolves improved to 28-11 in their first 39 games, which has them as the first seed in the Western Conference.  

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 16-2 in 18 games at the Target Center. 

Following the Clippers, the Timberwolves will now travel to Detroit to face off against the Pistons on Wednesday evening. 

As for the Clippers, they dropped to 25-14 in their first 39 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 9-10 in the 19 games they have played on the road.
